Major Ajaib Singh Sen. Sec. School/College Jiwanwala, a renowned educational institute celebrated its twenty-fourth annual function. The function organised at college campus, Jiwanwala was inaugurated by Lt. Col Lakhwinder Singh & S. Jagjit Singh Chahal (National Awardee), S. Surinder Singh Sodhi (Arjuna Awardee), IPS, SSP, Faridkot was the chief guest for the occasion. The itinerary included a rich variety of dances, plays and instrumental music that were performed by the students. This annual function draws young talent ans showcases their creative pursuits namely dance, drama, music etc. The tiny tots presented a fashion show with a fusion dance. It is aimed at providing a platform for creative juices to flow blended with academic curriculum. What however enthralled all was choreography to pay tribute to Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Students put up a spectacular extravaganza for its annual cultural show. The seniors put up a play "Ye Hindustan Hamara'. The function aimed at bringing out the latent talent of students. A varied cultural program with the theme 'Amar Jawan' was presented by the children. Students presented a beautiful amalgamation of orchestra, song and dance, showcasing their passion for music and rich heritage. The function, organised entirely by the students, encompassed Indian culture and heritage.

Mr. S.S. Brar, Principal, presented the annual school report, which was followed by an inspiring speech by the chief guest. S. Surinder Singh Sodhi, S. Jagjit Singh Chahal (Asst. Director Youth Services Faridkot, Moga, Tarantaran), Lt. Col. Lakhwinder Singh (CO, NCC 13 Pb Btn, Fzr Cantt) S. G.S. Brar, S. Jarnail Singh Randhawa, Smt Kulwant Kaur (PES, Principal Govt. Brijindra College, Faridkot), S. Jagjit Singh Sidhu (Dy Dir Sec Admn-1 Pb, Chandigarh) gave away annual prizes to students. The guests of honour for the function were S. Jarnail Singh Randhawa (PPS, SP (Retd)), Smt. Mahinder Kaur (Headmistress Retd), S. G.S. Brar (International volleyball referee) Smt. Manjit Kaur Brar, Mehakdeep Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Komalpreet Kaur, Manpreet Kaur (Nathuwala), Mandeep Kaur, Manpreet Kaur (Jiwanwala), Harvinder Kaur, Mandeep Singh, Sukhpreet Kaur were judged the all rounder of the year in respective fields.

The lucky draw was the attraction of the day. The students were also awarded for academic and co-curricular excellence. The chief guest S. Surinder Singh Sodhi(Arjuna Awardee), IPS, SSP, Faridkot appreciated all for the grand event.
