Registration for
Admission
The registration for admission starts from 5th of November every year.
The schedule for written test and interview will be given on the time of
registration. The candidates should be required to bring all the
original certificates including certificate of the qualifying
examination as well as the birth certificate. The candidate should score
45% marks in the written test only then he or she will be eligible for
the admission.
Interview for Admission i)A Student who wants to take admission will appear for
before the selection committee himself. In his absence, he can not get
admission.
ii) During the time of interview, original certificates, photocopy of
ration card, birth certificate, one passport size photograph of the
child, mother & father & vaccination card must be available.
Application for
Admission
Admission form should be complete and the following documents should be
attached with it:
A) Character
Certificate (Only for 6th to 10+2 students) The students seeking admission for the first time in the school will
bring the character certificate given by the Principal of the school
last attended by the student. Private students can give the certificates
issued by the gazetted officer. This certificate should not be three
months earlier than the date of admission. The old students of the
school do not need the certificate.
B)
Certificate of passing the previous examination (From 2nd to 12th Class) Students should attach the attested photocopy of the character
certificate with the form. If the original certificate is not available
at the time of admission then the temporary certificate can be attached.
C) Date of
Birth Certificate Date of Birth Certificate should be attached with the admission
form.
D)
Passport size photograph After the child's selection in the school, coloured passport size
photo (in school uniform) should be sent to school within three days
during the time of admission in the school and the student will get
his/her identity card issued. During this time, two guardians who have a
co-ordination with the school must submit their 2 passport size
photographs each.
E)
Schedule Caste Certificate Children belonging to schedule castes and tribes should also attach
the certificates of their caste on which the occupation and salary is
mentioned. It should be issued by the Government official.
F)
Migration Certificate Students coming from other Boards or Universities should also give
their Migration Certificate at the time of admission.
Rules for Admission i) It is compulsory for the student to submit his/her complete
admission form by the fixed time
ii) Admission will be according to the Education Department Punjab and
Punjab School Education Board rules.
iii) Failed / Admission stopped / Gap year candidates will be considered
at the last or when the seats are vacant. Such students will be given
admission on the basis of their previous character, behaviour and
earlier result.
iv) Admission to the student of 10th and 12th class will be given on the
basis of the fulfilment of the terms and conditions issued by
Punjab School Education Board.
v) The rights for admission in any class are reserved with the
Principal. Admission can not be asked on the basis of any right.
vi) Apart from these, the directions/instructions given by Punjab School
Education Board will be imposed on the students.
Syllabus for Admission
Test
Minimum 33% Marks in the entrance test are required for admission to all
classes.
Nursery : Interview Prep -I / Lower Nursery The child will be evaluated on the basis of oral questions based on
general knowledge. Here are some sample questions. 1. What is your name ?
2. What is your father's Name ?
3. What runs on electricity ? English : Written and spoken from A to Z. Math : Written and spoken from 1 to 50 Punjabi : i) Written and spoken from ਉ to
ਲ਼ ii) Written and spoken : Composition of three letters.
From 1st to Vth :
Punjabi, English and Maths test will be given according to the board
syllabus of the passed class.
From VIth to Xth :
Punjabi, English, Hindi and Maths test will be taken according to
the Board syllabus of the passed class.
Eleventh : Arts (Only for girls), Medical, Non-Medical and Computer Techniques (Co-educational).
Admission will be given on the basis of at least 50% marks for Arts, 70% Marks
for Medical , Non-Medical & Computer Techniques group in Matriculation examination.
Temporary admission before matriculation result will be given on the
basis of 50% marks in middle examination for arts, 70% for Medical and
Non-Medical and Permanent admission will be on the basis of performance.
Boys coming from other schools for Medical/Non Medical & Computer Techniques group should have at least 75% marks in middle/matric examination.
Prep II (English
Medium) 1. Knowledge of Capital and small letters.
2. Recognition of colours, animals, transport, fruits and vegetables.
3. Conversation of 5 Simple sentences.
4. General questions like :
i) What is your name ?
ii) How are you ?
iii) What is your father's name ?
iv) Where do you live ?
v) How many eyes do you have ? etc.
v) Counting, writing and identification of 1-50
Temporary Admission The child who does not have complete ability to get admission in
class will be given casual/temporary admission on the responsibility of
special person. But if the student does not fulfill his abilities till
the forms of the Board Exam are sent, then the school will not be
responsible for the student. The form of the concerned student will be
sent as private candidate for the Board Exam.
New Admission if a girl
remains absent continuously for 10 days and a boy remains absent
continuously for 6 days and does not pay his/her fees and balance till
the fixed time then his/her name will be struck off. Principal can admin
him/her after taking the re-admission fee from the student.
Time of Admission In ordinary conditions admission will be obtained till 31st March
without late fees. But for the Board classes the admission will be done
within 10 days of the result (if the seat is vacant) without any late
fees. The seats will be reserved till 31st March for the old students of
the school. After that the institution will not be responsible for the
failure in admission. If the student had bad record in the past or any
other such reason. He / She can be denied for the admission.
Temporary admission of all students of Vth and VIIIth classes will be
given within three days after the completion of their Exams and studies
will start on 4th day.
Students considered
unable for the Admission 1.Those
students who have passed their previous exam from other Board/University
and is not recognized by Punjab School Education Board, Punjabi, Punjab
and Guru Nanak Dev University.
2.Those who have reappered in more that one subject in Matric / Senior
Secondary / Pre University or other previous examination.
3. Those who have passed 10th class on the basis of taking exams in
school/college . Those who have not passed Matric with English subjec,
they will be given admission temporarily in 10+1 only for one condition
that they will have to pass English equivalent to Matric in August Exam
or in the Annual Examination, otherwise their admission will be
cancelled.
