Important Note

1. The School will be closed on Second Monday of every Month.
2. The School can be closed earlier than the fixed time due to extreme bad weather or any other special reason.
3. The Students should be present 5 minutes before the school starts. If any student reaches late in the school, he/she will be marked as absent for the whole of the day.
4. The time of meeting the school Principal and depositing the fees is as under :

For Parents :
Summer : 8.30 to 11.30 AM
Winder : 9.30 to 11.30 AM
For publisher and other related persons:
Summer : 12.30 to 1.30 PM
Winter : 01.30 to 2.30 PM
5. Anything related to the school shall be discussed in the school office.
6. Contact at School Reception for the lost articles and other grievances.
7. Except emergency conditions you can talk on telephone during working hours so that the required information can be obtained.
8. Parents-Teacher meet will be on May 23rd , September 23rd, December 23rd. (Refer to School Calendar). Parent or Guardian should try to attend these meetings. At least two meeting must be attended.
9. School Day - Annual Prize Distribution function and result on March 23rd from10.00 AM to 3.00 PM.

Medium of Studies

Medium of education is Punjabi and English  but for the subject General Knowledge ( Nursery to Fifth ), half of the syllabus is in English Medium. As a subject English will be taught from Nursery , Drawing Prep-I class and Hindi from First Class. From First to 10+2 class , Computer Application will be taught in English medium.

In normal conditions, academic year will be considered from 1st Jan. to31st Dec.(for non board classes). Pass criteria will be on the basis of rules laid by Punjab School Education Board / Education Department .

Technical Education : Computer Course (Only English Medium )
SUPW - Computerized subjects for Matric classes and First Aid for middle classes. Special arrangement for Computer Education and Drawing as an elective subject.


Pass Criteria

Pre Primary Department :
Required marks to pass in each subject = 40% ( 35% marks separately in oral and written)
Aggregate (Total Marks ) = 45%. It is necessary to pass in Punjabi, English and Math subjects.
Primary Department :
It is necessary to pass in all subject of S.C.E.R.T.
Marks required to pass in each subject = 35% (33% marks separately in written and oral)
Aggregate (Total of all subjects) = 40%.

Examination

House Examination
1. House examination will be taken twice in a year in May & September. They will be given equal importance.
2. Absent students will be given zero marks in the concerned examination.
3. Students absent in House examination will be imposed fine.
4. According to the rules of Board, House examination and Annual examination / Special exams will not be evaluated.
Necessary abilities for Annual Examination
Two house exams are held in a year. First in May & second in September. All the students will have to appear in these exams. The students found absent in these exams without the permission of the Principal, will be imposed fine.

General Rules

Attendance in School
Every student coming late to school will be marked absent. 75% attendance is compulsory. Being absent for coming late or remaining absent for whole day will be fined. Mothers of the children with 100% attendance continuing for two years will be honoured. In this regard minimum 60% marks are required in House Exams and is required to be present in at least two parent-teacher meet.
Leave Application
For taking leave, application should be given in time. Leave for 3 days can be sanctioned by the incharge. Parents signatures are compulsory on leave application. Principal's consent can be taken of more than 3 days leave is to be taken. Medical Certificate should be brought if more than 7 days illness is there.
Leaving the school/Cutting the name
1. According to the instructions of the department if any student remains absent for 10 days (Girl) and 6 days (Boys) continuously, then hir/her name will be struck off. If any student wants to leave the school, then he/she can give the application to the Principal on which parent's signatures should be there. Without clearing the account of the school, students are not allowed to leave the school.
2. The Principal can cut off the name of any student whose behaviour or character is not good.
Payment of Fees
1. Students of Nursery to 5th class will pay the fees till 5th of the month. Students of 6thto 8th classes will pay the fees till 8th, the students of 9th & 10th class will pay the fees till 10th and the students from 10+1 to B.A.- III will pay the fees till 15th of the month. Student failing to pay the fees by the fixed time will be fined Rs. 20/-.
2. The names of the Students failing to pay the fees by 20th of the month, will be struck  off.
3. Full fee concession will be granted to intelligent students and players.
Regarding taking the students from school
1. Once entered in the school, student can not get leave before the half time of the school. In the same way the student cannot get leave before 30 minutes of closing of the school.
2. Leave cannot be given without showing the Identity card.
Certificate
To get any certificate from the school office, application (on which reason is clearly mentioned) should be given to the Principal. Certificate will be issued on the third working day.
Balance Certificate
Students having any kind of balance, will not be allowed to sit in the house test and final examination. Students who are to appear in Board Exaimination, their roll no will  be issued only on showing their balance certificate.
Identity Card
Students will be given an identity card after giving them the Roll No and the students from 3rd class onwards will be given separate Identity Card for the parents. They personally have to take care of it. If any student loses his/her card, duplicate of it can be issued after depositing Rs. 20/-. Parents should have the identity card of their wards if they come to school for any type of work. No dealing will be done without this card. Students can't give this card to anyone else. For next session admission, students has to deposit his/her old identity card.

Points for Parents

1. Check the daily diary and see if your ward has noted down the home assignment and other details.
2. Check if any remarks have been given either by the teacher of the Principal. Take action on the remarks immediately.
3. Please ensure that your ward has been provided with all necessary prescribed books, stationery, atlas and geometry box etc.
4. Please ensure that your ward brings books, notebooks and other material to the school daily as per day's timetable.
5.Ensure that your ward attends the school regularly and in time.
6. Ensure that your ward always wears proper school uniform while going to the school.
7. Ensure that your ward always remains neat and tidy.
8. Ensure the basic minimum comforts to your ward to pursue his self-study at home depending upon the circumstances, such as table, a chair and a table lamp etc.
9.Critisism of teachers of the school in the presence of students should be scrupulously avoided as it causes the boy or girl to lose respect of his/her teacher.
10. Provide necessary guidance to your ward in doing his homework but don't do any spoon feeding. Assist him to be self-reliant.
11. Encourage your ward to do self-help with regard to polishing of shoes and washing of handkerchief. socks, necktie etc. (Except where children are small and cannot do things of their own)
12. Make your child to inculcate the habit of understanding the subject matter and avoid cramming.
13. As the medium of instruction in the school is English, students should be encouraged to converse in English at home.
14. Ensure that the ward completes his/her homework and prepares lesson daily.
15. Keep in touch with the Principal & other teachers to know the progress of your ward from time to time.
16. Encourage your ward to participate in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the school such as debates, recitation of poems and sports etc.
17. Inform any change of your address or telephone no. etc immediately.
18. Pay all the school dues in time.
19. Send application for leave, sick leave etc in time.
20. Send your responses to various letters and circulars issued by the school from time to time.
21. Please attend "Parent-Teacher Meet" whenever called for.
22. Any suggestions for improvement of the school are always welcome.

Let the child be equipped with general awareness and independent in decision making right from the beginning.

Note : After admission of the ward, parents are requested to read the diary also carefully and sign it.
